The radio connects to the Internet either through a standard Ethernet connection or through a  dial-up phone modem. The unit can also easily be made wireless with the use of a Linksys Wireless  Bridge Adapter which plugs into the radio and then wirelessly connects through a router to allow  Internet access. It runs only on ACCORDING power, but is truly portable - weighing less than two  pounds. You can take it anywhere in your house, or connect when you go traveling or on vacation.

The radio is as simple to operate as just connecting it to the Internet, pushing the on button, and  waiting for it to power on and play the first channel of the selected station list.

Each radio contains its own individual identification number and password. You choose your stations  from a screen reader friendly web page which contains over 5,000 stations from the U. S. and 100  other countries. You can sort your stations by where they are located. After you check a box for  each station you want to be programmed into your radio, you enter on "add these stations to my  radio" and presto! The next time you turn on your radio, you will not only find your stations but  each one will be announced as you tune to it. The Blind Stations radio list pages not only gives  you thousands of choices of Internet radio stations to choose from, but you can even add your own  favorites to the radio and to the master station database.

Other applications for the radio, several of which will be available in the next three months  include being able to access databases of thousands of podcasts and sermons which then can be  programmed from an accessible web page into your radio. Finally, there are also twenty-five radio  reading services for the blind providing newspapers and other information from around the country  in the database, along with the four channels of the ever popular ACB Radio.
